VIDEO: Scrumptious Indian Street Food Tour in Varanasi + Sarnath

During my final day in Varanasi we went in an tour trying all of the renowned dishes of Varanasi. We began the day by seeing one of the ghats for sunrise. It was calm and spiritual experience, a must once in Varanasi.

Our first stop in our Indian Food Tour has been Malai. This is similar to a milk, yogurtcream. It is yummy and sweet!

Stop number 2 has been potatoes, Puri Kachori, tomato and a more vegetable dish. You use a bread to eat it and it’s a breakfast dish. We also had Jalebi a fried dough which is dipped in sugar that was condensed. To refresh our sanity a few Paan tried!

We took a food break and led the birthplace of Buddhism, to Sarnath. The bull park at Sarnath is in which the Buddhist Sangha came into existence by means of the innocence of Kondanna, and where Gautama Buddha taught the Dhamma.

We headed back to end our Street Food tour. We stopped to try four dishes, Golgappas, Aloo Tikki, Tomato Chaat and Chura Matar. They were all so good, but my favourite has been Chura Matar!
